Our 40+ Year Journey
A history of exceptional growth… From our humble beginnings in 1982 as a local roofing contractor to becoming a leading commercial & industrial construction company serving multiple markets throughout the Midwest. MAC Street Industrial has successfully restored thousands of buildings and our journey has been marked by innovation, growth, and an unwavering commitment to the communities we serve. As we celebrate our growth and improvement over these years, we look back on our achievements and move forward to the future we continue to build together.
Founded in 1982
Our founder led and built a team in the early 1980’s that helped grow the company as it integrated into the opportunities within the local roofing and restoration market. Back when our company was established, we were known as ‘Douglas County Roofing’ – aka. ‘Douglas Roofing’ and this began our journey of roofing and renovating buildings throughout Colorado. We are proud of the fact that several of the original team members from the early 1980’s have remained working with the company to this day.
Growth in the 1980’s
Back in 1982, our company started out by creating solutions for the problems that our clients were experiencing on their asphalt, tile, and metal roof systems. While we continued to provide those services in the early years, as our company grew, our focus gradually shifted to commercial and industrial roofing. Eventually, serving the commercial and industrial roofing sector would become the sole focus of our company.
Upping the Ante
The early 1990s marked a significant evolution of our company as we strategically expanded our project portfolio. We began taking on increasingly complex projects across larger facilities, and rapidly increased the number of satisfied clients year by year. This diversification demonstrated the company's growing expertise, and established MAC Street Industrial as a versatile contractor capable of handling multiple project types. With a great reputation and thousands of satisfied and repeat clients, our growth was propelled and the company continued to flourish.
Our Founder Retires
The original founder retired in early 2017 after over 35 years of service within the company, thus beginning a new chapter under fresh leadership. Our new president brought with him experience and a loyal team that followed him from his previous commercial roofing company in the Midwest. The new talent working alongside our existing team members ensured that the company maintained its core values, while bringing fresh energy and ideas.
Company Acquired
Our current president made the bold move to acquire the company in early 2017 with a successful history in the commercial & industrial roofing sector. He came with a vision for our company to become even more specialized; aiming to greatly increase the value we were able to offer our clients. The same great team that had built the company remained, but with more focus than ever.
Re-Brand to Current Logo
Becoming exclusively focused on commercial and industrial clients led the team to rename our company to MAC Street Industrial, marking the evolution of a legacy that has spanned many decades. We honored the company's innovative goals by introducing a striking bright blue color – a modern echo of the blue of our past logo. Due to our increased focus on the commercial and industrial sector, the company acquired IndustrialRoofing.com. This important acquisition offered us the opportunity to bring our online presence into alignment with our name and vision for the company.
Kansas City Expansion
With our president’s history in the Kansas City area, and seeing opportunities for growth, MAC Street Industrial opened a permanent location in Kansas City and began helping commercial & industrial clients in both the Midwest and Colorado. Our Midwestern projects are now coordinated through the Kansas City branch to provide a higher level of service.
Celebrating 40 Years of Excellence
As MAC Street Industrial celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2022, we also payed tribute to our thousands of satisfied clients who placed their trust in our company. Our journey reflects our team’s unwavering commitment to quality, innovation, and restoring communities. With a diverse portfolio spanning manufacturing, distribution, multifamily, office, and other commercial roofing projects, we continue to honor our founders' vision while embracing new challenges and opportunities within the commercial and industrial roofing sector.
